		<description>1) Country codes are definately more prevalent outside the US. .com is closely associated with US based businesses. Ergo why the English version of Amazon is Amazon.co.uk. Ireland actually has a very large and highly skilled IT population. Web Development is quite common there. 

2) Widget is and always will be related to beer no matter what the Web Technologists or College Professors people think. Nitrogen is the key to a good pint. :)</description>

		<description>The use of national top level domains is indeed quite widespread. You'll find them even more common in non-English speaking countries - .fr or .it clearly signal that the website is in French or Italian.

Also it's much easier to get domain names with national TLDs than .com.</description>
