		<description>Hiring contractors vs full-time:

I couldn't agree more, my team right now consists of 0 full-time employees and 7 contractors, all distributed. (India, Russia, Brazil, US)

I use our own service, oDesk.com, to build my team and can adjust weekly limits and start and end assignments any time. The nice thing is that it's hourly time-based work, so I don't waste time spec'ing out a $50 project every time I need a short task done.

How do you manage your 20 contractors? How do you keep them on task? How do you monitor progress?

<description>I found your site on technorati and read a few of your other posts. Keep up the good work. I just added your RSS feed to my Google News Reader. Looking forward to reading more from you.
